Will they rip?
They are light, stretchy covers, not rubber boots. Treat them like that and they last: pull them on with flat fingers, not nails, and keep them for pavement, parks and wet grass.
Sharp gravel and long hikes wear any thin cover out fast. That is also why most people take a pack: there is always a fresh pair in the bag or the car.
Will water get in?
Not through the cover. The material is waterproof, so puddles and splashes stay out up to the top of the cover.
The top is open, like any shoe cover. In heavy, wind-blown rain, wear your trousers over the top so water runs down the outside.
Are they slippery?
The sole has raised zigzag ridges for grip on wet pavement.
Smooth wet surfaces such as polished tiles, metal covers and painted lines are slippery in any shoe, so take those as carefully as you normally would.
Are they hard to put on?
They are snug on purpose, so they stay put while you walk. Toe in first, then pull the back up over the heel. It takes a few seconds once you have done it twice.

Rinse them under the tap and let them air dry. Then they are ready for the next rainy day.
Where do I keep them when it stops raining?
Shake the water off, fold them and put them in a small bag in your backpack, handbag or glovebox. They fold up small, so they are easy to keep with you.
Can I wear them all day?
They are made for getting from A to B in the rain: the commute, the school run, a walk across town. They do not breathe, so take them off indoors and let your shoes air.
Do they fit kids?
They fit shoes from about a US kids’ 3 and up. On smaller shoes they will be loose.

As short as a shoe, if it gets wet in the rain or there's a puddle of water, it's likely to leak inside, but I haven't tested it yet! When you test, post the results here too!

Contrary to the photo, the shoe covers do not go above the ankle and stop just at the edge of the shoe. Too bad, I will not recommend it.
